PowerCore Engineering - Solutions for Power Distribution Systems
Onsite Load & Power Quality Measurements

Whether you do have a Power Monitoring System installed or not, there is and occasional need to perform an on-the-spot power measurement to evaluate particular load parameters such as:

  • Load Flow (current and/or kW/kVA demand)
  • Voltage Swings (+/- deviation)
  • Power Factor (inductive & capacitive loads)
  • Power Quality (harmonic distortion, voltage & current transients, sags & swells)

With our Portable Power Monitoring Package based on PML ION 7500 meter, we are able to give you all the needed information within a snap.

Most of the time, no power interruption is required to install the power monitor !

Our power monitors are typically installed in customer specified locations for a period of 1 – 7 days, but any arrangement is possible.

Local power measurements are typically required if there is a need to:

  • Assess loading level of a selected feeder(s)
  • Decide whether particular feeders can accept large load addition
  • Measure Harmonic Distortion when power quality of the supply is in question
  • Provide Power Factor compensation for a facility or locally to release capacity
Often, the results of the power monitoring are used to perform power system modeling to calculate projected impact of large load installation.

So if you?re want to be in the know, give PowerCore Engineering a chance to provide you the information you need for an effective decision.
